Where the Name Comes From
Rooted in European Tradition
Our name is a nod to Transylvania — a region known not just for its striking landscapes, but for its rich culinary heritage that blends Hungarian, Romanian, Saxon, and broader European influences. That spirit of cultural layering is present in everything we do.
From the moment we began crafting our menu, we looked to the most cherished cafe traditions on the continent — the Viennese coffeehouse where time slows down, the Parisian brasserie where every detail matters, the Romanian village kitchen where warmth is the secret ingredient.
These aren’t just inspirations. They’re the foundations of how we cook, brew, and serve.

How We Got Here
Every great cafe starts with a story. Ours begins with a simple question: why doesn’t Abu Dhabi have a proper European cafe?
We noticed something missing — a cafe that combined European quality with Abu Dhabi’s late-night lifestyle. Not a chain. Not a franchise. Something real, built from scratch.
We spent months refining recipes rooted in Viennese, Parisian, and Romanian kitchens — adapting them for the local palate without compromising on authenticity or quality.
We chose one of Abu Dhabi’s most vibrant residential neighbourhoods — a place where people actually live, work, and move through their days. We wanted to be part of that rhythm.
Now serving European coffee, fresh pastries, and real food to Al Danah and beyond — with dine-in, drive-through, and delivery available every single day.

We chose Al Danah, Zone 1 deliberately. It’s one of Abu Dhabi’s most vibrant residential and commercial neighbourhoods — a place where people actually live, work, and move through their days.
We wanted to be part of that rhythm, not apart from it. We want our neighbours to think of us as their local cafe, not just another destination to visit once.
Coming from Khalidiyah, the Corniche, or further out — Al Danah is central, connected, and always easy to reach.
